Q1: Who will be the principal traveler?
A1: My husband and I are planning to travel together. Since he is currently unemployed, we have considered applying for a joint visa in order to save both of our time at the consulate. However, if you feel that it would be more appropriate for us to apply separately, please indicate why. In addition, could you also explain which category my husband should use? He has an undergraduate degree from one US university and an MBA from another. His work experience includes several years with Apple, but most recently he was working as a volunteer teacher in China; so his employment history does not look very impressive. Thank you!
Q2: Why go to USA? What do you plan to do there? Have you ever been/are staying in any country other than PRC before your trip here? How long have you been living in this city now? Do you have relatives or friends who live / stayed in USA before? Could they write letters for you on your behalf? Which school did you attend when you were young? Where did you graduate?
二、资金担保 Q3: Are all these bank statements yours? How much money have you deposited into each account? Did you keep those deposit slips? And please show me your checkbook as well. Can you tell me what happened to the last three checks written by this checking account? Please provide details including name of payee, amount, purpose etc……
三、出境记录及赴美目的 Q4: When was the first time you went abroad? Where did you go? For how long? If applicable, please explain whether you traveled alone, with family members, business associates等, especially since you said previously that you had never been outside PRC. To clarify further, where exactly in Asia did you visit? Would you happen to know Hong Kong and Macau is treated differently? Therefore, instead of asking “How many times have you visited Japan?”, I suggest you answer this question directly: "What is the reason behind your frequent visits to Japan--–you mentioned Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka as some of your favorite places?
